Detectives in Brooklyn are looking for the suspect who shot two men early on Saturday morning.

Police reported that the double shooting occurred near the corner of Belmont and Sheffield Avenue in East New York just before 7:05 a.m. on March 29.

Officers from the 75th Precinct initially responded to the location after receiving a ShotSpotter activation. ShotSpotter is the citywide network of sensors designed to pick up possible sounds of gunfire and evoke a rapid police response.

A short time later, police learned of a second victim — a 29-year-old man — who walked into Brookdale Hospital after suffering a gunshot wound to his chest. He is also listed in stable condition.
