Warm weather is around the corner, meaning New Yorkers will enjoy a season of city fun as Hudson River Park announced on Tuesday its lineup of free events taking place at the four-mile riverfront park this year.
Highlights for 2025 include hands-on science workshops, sunset concerts, Broadway performances, music and dancing, exercise classes, and so much more that will make New Yorkers of all ages smile.
The season kicks off on May 17 on Pier 84 with an exciting event for aquatic animal lovers. The SUBMERGE Marine Science Festival, a family-friendly event packed with hands-on river research, will feature wildlife encounters and science shows in a day-long celebration of the city’s local waterways and the cool critters who live there.
A slew of summer offerings are part of this year’s fun. Among the events include six nights of Broadway By The Boardwalk and a new Science After Dark series perfect for curious adults who want to learn more about local ecology while hanging out with friends.
Other highlights of the season include the return of park favorites such as Healthy on the Hudson yoga and fitness classes, musical fun at Jazz at Pier 84, as well as new wildlife- and science-themed adventures.

One of NYC’s longest-free festivals. Enjoy the 25th year of this day-long festival of live music uniting nationally renowned blues artists with some of New York’s finest smoked delicacies.
