A Bronx man was stabbed to death early on Saturday morning, and police are on the hunt for his killer.

Law enforcement sources said the bloodshed occurred just before 4 a.m. on April 26 near the corner of East Burnside and Valentine Avenues in Tremont.

Officers from the 46th Precinct, in responding to a 911 call about the incident, found the victim, a 36-year-old man, with multiple stab wounds to his torso.

EMS rushed the victim to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later. Police have not yet released his identity, pending family notification.

The deadly stabbing appeared to be the first reported homicide in the 46th Precinct this year. The most recent CompStat report indicated no murders in the command year-to-date through April 20; there were eight homicides at the same point in 2024.

The motive for Saturday’s stabbing is not yet known, according to police sources. So far, no arrests have been made in the ongoing investigation.
