Detectives are looking for the killer who fatally knifed a passenger while riding a J train station in Brooklyn early on Tuesday morning.
Cops said the stabbing occurred at about 2:33 a.m. on April 7 as the train pulled into the Lorimer Street station, located above the intersection of Lorimer Street and Broadway in Williamsburg.
According to sources familiar with the investigation, the unidentified male victim got into an argument with the unknown attacker.
The words turned physical, police sources said, when the attacker pulled out a knife and repeatedly stabbed the victim in the back and neck.
Both the victim and the suspect remained on board the J train until the Flushing Avenue stop, where the murderer departed.
Officers from the 90th Precinct and NYPD Transit District 33 responded to a 911 call about the incident. Paramedics rushed the victim to nearby Woodhull Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police have withheld the victim’s identity, pending family notification.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing, authorities said.
