Cast members and musicians from a popular Broadway show came together – through social distancing – to raise money for the Actors Fund amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The cast and musicians of the Tony Award-winning musical “Beautiful-The Carole King Musical” recorded a video of a socially distanced version of “You’ve Got a Friend.” The video, which features a special appearance by Carole King herself, premiered on CBS “This Morning.”
The video includes a message Brian Stokes Mitchell, chairman of the Actors Fund, which provides a safety net for performing arts and entertainment professionals over their lifespan.
