Watch an animated feature at a special screening in the Lower East Side.
On Tuesday, March 4, New York City’s own One Man Army will be hosting a screening of the film “Interface.” The animated film follows Henryk, a man who doesn’t age, and Mischief, a shapeshifting creature, while the duo try to uncover Henryk’s past.
This screening will feature a Q&A with director Justin Tomchuk following the film. Hailing originally from Nova Scotia and now based in Montreal, Tomchuk has built a successful career with his animation channels on YouTube and through other creative animated ventures.
“Interface” has previously screened at L’Éstrange Festival (France 2024) (introduction by Flying Lotus), Phenomena Festival (Brazil 2023), Horsetooth Fest (USA 2023), Kaboom Animation Festival (Netherlands 2023), and TAAFI Toronto (Canada 2023).
The screening will be held at the Lower East Side’s Sovereign House, located at 185 E Broadway. Doors open at 7 p.m. with the screening starting at 8 p.m.
Tickets are $10 in advance online and $20 at the door.
