Cherry Hellodies is back for its fifth year with a truly one-of-a-kind extravaganza, even by Coney Island’s standards.

On Aug. 31, Cherry Hellodies will take the stage at the Coney Island Sideshow. Starring local singer and performer Miss Cherry Delight, the night will feature a curated selection of “the most depraved Burlesque and sideshow superstars.”

“What I get to do at Coney Island is really special, it’s such an extravaganza of rock and roll love,” said Delight. “I’m just so proud of this show. It’s a lot of work to put this show together.”

“Miss Cherry Delight’s Cherry Hellodies show is always a highlight of the Burlesque at the Beach season at Coney Island USA!” said Adam Rinn, Artistic Director of Coney Island USA. “Just when you think that there’s no way Cherry could top what she’s done last year, she doesn’t hold back and brings forth an incredible, well-thought-out musical extravaganza! You better get your tickets quickly because this always sells out.”

Delight will be joined on stage with a full five-piece rock band and her new backup singer, Melinda Porto, AKA Melfire. During the show, Delight will be debuting a track from her upcoming full-length album “Advice for Ashes” while playing some old favorites and covers as well.

“I’m singing every single song and I have a new backup singer who is awesome,” said Delight. “The band is SO ready.”

The full show lineup includes performances from Jo Boobs, Albert Cadabra, Pearls Daily, Mia the MVP, Kita St Cyr, Faux Pas Le Fae, Aurora North, Alaska The Lostboy, and Apathy Angel. Delight says that past Hellodies shows have drawn out loyal attendees such as the founding member of GWAR, Chuck Varga, Liquid Metal SiriusXM host “Shawn The Butcher”, Humungus Fungus Of Urungus, Joe Coleman, Whitney Ward, and many more.

“We’re very spoiled to live in New York with some of the most talented artists you could imagine, like circus arts and burlesque and just everything,” said Delight. “Everyone is not only talented but so creative, so interesting and innovative. All of them are just so, so wonderful.”

Those who attend the show can also take part in raffles, with prizes including items from Bath and Body Work’s Halloween collection, gift certificates to New York City’s Gothic Renaissance, and works from famed rock and roll photographer Len Delessio. Proceeds from the raffle will go to support Delight’s upcoming tour this fall.

“The point is supporting the arts and all things rock and roll. All you have to do is sit back and completely enjoy every delicious morsel that I’m going to give you,” said Delight. “You’ll scream, you’ll laugh, you’ll cry happy tears, you’ll feel it all. I always strive to create a show that people talk about all year long.”

Tickets for Cherry Hellodies 5 start at $25 in advance and $30 day of, and are available at coneyisland.com. You must be 18+ to attend. The show starts at 9 p.m.

The Coney Island Sideshow is located at 1208 Surf Ave.
