Global Citizen Festival rounded out the city’s summer music festival season last weekend.
Nearly 60,000 people headed to Central Park’s Great Lawn on Saturday to help Global Citizen reach its goal of ending global poverty by 2030 and see some top artists, like Green Day and The Chainsmokers, perform. Unless you were one of them, you probably missed the music festival’s big moments, like Stevie Wonder taking a knee (or two) in solidarity with the NFL protests and Demi Lovato announcing her new role as the organization’s mental health ambassador.
