The popular Canadian rock band Barenaked Ladies is bringing their tour to New York City next month.
The tour, entitled the Last Summer on Earth 2023 American Tour, is on its seventh year and officially kicked off on June 2. Whether it is truly the last summer on Earth or not, Barenaked Ladies will take the stage at the Rooftop at Pier 17 on July 12.
This summer, the shows will be opened by Del Amitri, and with Semisonic joining in the front half of the tour (June 2-26). Five for Fighting will join on the New York City show (and all tour dates between June 28-July 22).
“Gearing up for another Last Summer on Earth. Always a great time with Old Friends and New Ones! You will hear a LOT of hits every night from 3 bands with 3 Decades of Experience!” said Ed Robertson, guitarist and vocalist of Barenaked Ladies.
The band’s Last Summer on Earth tours began back in 2012, the year the ancient Mayan calendar had predicted Earth would cease to exist. After seizing the opportunity to name the tour after that, the next 7 of the past 12 summers donned the same moniker.
Like in their past tours, Barenaked Ladies will be partnering with REVERB to reduce the environmental impact that touring has on the planet while giving back to local US and Canadian communities.
Tickets are now available for the Pier 17 show on Ticketmaster. There are options for VIP packages for the tour, including options for premium seats, merchandise packages, soundcheck parties, meet-and-greets and more.
