Kick off your 420 celebration the right way at S.O.B. ‘s Steppin’ Stoned featuring a performance from Raekwon of Wu-Tang Clan on Friday, April 19.
The evening’s celebration at the historic New York City music venue known for legendary Hip Hop concerts will be hosted by Shiest Bubz, the official Cannabis Grand Marshal in New York City and founder of “The Smoker’s Club” featuring sounds by Hip Hop DJ Green Lantern, the official DJ for Snoop Dogg and Nas.
Besides iconic performances, the evening will feature a wide variety of cannabis products for attendees to explore, supplied by sponsors Blazy Susan, Zatix Lifestyle, Baker Brothers, Drops of Life CBD, Bungludetch Farms and DeLisioso.
Raekwon “The Chef” is a founding member of Wu-Tang Clan and multi-platinum recording artist from Brownsville, New York. He is also no stranger to S.O.B. ‘s, a frequent performer since 2009 when he held his OB4CL II release party at the venue. In 2015, S.O.B’s hosted the exclusive launch of Raekwon’s “Purple Tape” Capsule Collection and returned back later that year with Dave East. Raekwon has also attended shows for, and performed with 2 Chainz, Cappadonna, Method Man, Kool Herc and more at S.O.B.’s
Following the legalization of cannabis in New York City, S.O.B’s started hosting annual 420-themed concerts to celebrate the occasion with live music. Previous performers include Rakim on April 20 in 2022, followed by Jadakiss in 2023.
S.O.B has been a NYC staple for over 40 years, celebrating the musical wealth and heritage of the Afro-Latino Diaspora. Known as the place “where legends are made”, S.O.B has hosted music icons including DMX, Nas, Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Kayne West and more. Opening in 1982, the venue was solidified as the Manhattan hubspot for Hip Hop throughout the 1980s and 1990s.
