Get ready for free shows under the sun — the SummerStage lineup for 2018 has been announced.
More than 100 shows, both free and ticketed, are slated for parks across the five boroughs, with a handful of benefit concerts at Central Park, including a night with Steven Tyler at the City Parks Foundation’s gala, Trombone Shorty, Jason Mraz and O.A.R., among others.
Last year, Elvis Costello & The Imposters, Yo La Tengo, Regina Spektor, Jadakiss, Def Poets, among others, took the Central Park stage (near Fifth Avenue and 69th Street).
Tickets for the benefit concerts, which cost $45 to $75, can be bought at cityparksfoundation.org. The proceeds make it possible for SummerStage to put on free concerts.
