“The phone bed is my absolute favorite,” Huffington said. “Turning off our devices and having them away from our bedroom to me is the first most important step we can take to sleep fully and properly.”
Huffington even uses the phone bed in her office so she can have device-free meetings.

Arianna Huffington wants you to sleep your way to the top.
The provocative phrase is one of the mottos of her new venture, Thrive Global, a month-old startup focused on wellness — including sleep, as well as mindfulness, fitness, nutrition and productivity.
Earlier this month, Thrive Global opened a pop-up shop in SoHo, where you can shop its selection of goods and tech, practice meditation, get a massage and even take a nap.
Thrive Global is built on a central irony — using technology to disconnect from technology.
“Small, little changes can transform our lives and not be in a state of burnout and exhaustion,” Huffington told us on a recent visit to Thrive Global’s pop-up shop. “You can reframe that.”
The pop-up shop was designed to bring some calm this holiday season, Huffington said. It’s open at 419 Broome St. now through Jan. 15. Here’s a look around.
