Have you ever left something in an Uber, never to be seen again? You’re not alone. In fact, it’s so common that Uber is hosting a pop-up to showcase that next week.
On April 8, Uber will host its first-ever Lost & Found Pop-Up in the Flatiron District. The pop-up, which will be parked on 5th Avenue near E 22nd Street, will celebrate Uber’s ninth annual Lost & Found Index, which reveals the most surprising and most popular items riders have left behind over the past year.
This year, those who attend the pop-up will be able to see some of the wackiest and most forgotten items that are left in the backseat of a Uber over the past year. Guests will also be able to learn how to actually get your items back should you leave something behind in the future.
During the pop-up, Uber will be giving out limited-time freebies of commonly lost items, including headphones (#5 most lost item) from Bose, umbrellas (#19) from SHED RAIN, ready-to-drink lattes from happyⓇ, Maybelline Lifter Glosses, Everyday Crescent Bags (purse/bags ranked #3) from July and more.
One of the crazier things left behind last year was 175 cheeseburgers. Because of this lone fact, Shake Shack burgers will be passed out from 12 to 3 p.m., while supplies last.
