Mile End serves a 70-layer blini of epic proportions

  • Nassif said all the ingredients that go into the 70-layer blini cake are Mile End staples. But the only thing they don't usually have on hand are the most important to the dish: the blini. How did Nassif come up with the idea? Two people inspired him. His friend posted an Instagram photo of a 35-layer chocolate crepe cake that he'd made. Then, one of the Mile End delivery guys (who is Russian) brought caviar and extra large blini in one day. Then, bam!

One of the most decadent brunch items in the city is now on the menu at Mile End in Brooklyn.

The special is ridiculous in size and outlandish in theory but, somehow, it’s a reality.

It’s called a 70-layer blini and it’s made with nearly everything the restaurant is known for, including all manner of smoked fish.
