Celebrate National Ice Cream Day with these events in New York City

According to the National Day Calendar, “in 1984, President Ronald Reagan proclaimed July as National Ice Cream Month and established National Ice Cream Day as the third Sunday in July.”

So now you have an excuse to take a break from the heat with National Ice Cream Day, which this year falls on Sunday, July 21. Here are some things to do or try in commemoration:

Tipsy Scoop NYC and Mi Campo Tequila Collaboration

Try the limited time only flavor, Sour Watermelon Margarita Sorbet, crafted with Mi Campo Blanco Tequila this watermelon margarita blended into a sorbet with a surprise sour twist perfect for the warm months and in commemoration of ice cream day.

“Mondaes” at Bryant Park

Talenti will be handing out free sundaes with a gelato/sorbetto twist paired with delicious toppings on Monday, July 15, 2024. 

Stop by the pop-up truck and spice up your Monday by choosing the Summer Strawberry Mondae or the Affogato Mondae flavors.

In addition, to keep the celebration going, Talenti is giving away free cases of the Mondaes kit available on DoorDash beginning July 19, 2024 in New York City, Dallas or Chicago and throughout the month of July (while supplies last). 

When: Monday, July 15, 2024, 11 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Museum of Ice Cream

Join the epic celebration at the largest outdoor sprinkle pool with a side of complimentary ice cream!

When: July 20 and 21, 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

MONOPOLY GO! x Taiyaki NYC

New Yorkers are invited to the one day pop-up in Chinatown, at their locations in Chinatown, Manhattan and Williamsburg, Brooklyn complete with free ice cream offers and exclusive MONOPOLY GO! giveaways.

Ice cream without excuses

KIND is celebrating this day by giving free Frozen Bars of their plant-based and dairy-free flavors including Dark Chocolate Almond Sea Salt and Nut, Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate Nut, Mint Chocolate Almond Nut and Chocolate Cherry Almond and Nut.
