Dubai chocolate, a chocolate bar filled with kadayif and pistachio, took the internet by storm in recent months, and a New York City bakery is taking the tasty treat to the next level.

Sweet Graffiti has taken elements of the popular Dubai chocolate and created the Dubai Ice Cream Sundae, a sweet treat that puts a new twist on the viral confection.

“Honestly, the real reason I added it to the menu is because my daughters were obsessed with the trend and I couldn’t resist,” said Sweet Graffiti Chef Romina Peixoto. “The Dubai Sundae brings together textures and flavors from the Middle East—creamy, crunchy, smooth—all in one bite.; it’s a true multi-sensory experience. I love making it because of the layers of flavor and texture. It’s a fun, playful chocolate to create that always surprises people.”

The Dubai Ice Cream Sundae is made of house-made vanilla soft serve ice cream topped with chocolate syrup, homemade pistachio cream, toasted kataifi and chopped pistachios, giving the treat a colder and bolder flavor just in time for summer.

Sweet Graffiti officially opened to the public in February with an emphasis on bringing art-driven, globally inspired desserts. Led by Peixoto, the shop likes to push the boundaries on flavors and create unique and delicious treats.

Among the more popular options at Sweet Graffiti are the Pad Thai Cookies (peanut butter, lime and coconut), Stuffed Chocolate Bars, Alfajores (South American cookie sandwiches), and Flyers. Sweet Graffiti serves classic desserts in a variety of unique flavors, including BonBons in flavors such as Bananas Foster, Strawberry-Lychee Prosecco and Matcha Passionfruit, and Macaron flavors such as Raspberry Hibiscus, Lychee Pandan and Sesame, to name a few.

Sweet Graffiti is located at 51 W 32nd St. and is open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. For more information, visit www.sweetgraffitisweets.com.
