Edible cookie dough, Japanese-inspired tacos and fried twisted potatoes are some of the new eats you’ll find at the second annual Meadows Music and Arts Festival at Citi Field this weekend.
Organizers released the full food vendor lineup for the three-day music festival – featuring headliners Jay-Z, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Gorillaz – on Thursday, Aug. 10.
Among those making their Meadows debut the weekend of Sept. 15 include DŌ, the Greenwich Village shop selling ready-to-eat cookie dough in flavors like peanut butter snickerdoodle and oatmeal M&M; Takumi Taco, a Chelsea Market and Urbanspace Vanderbilt vendor specializing in Japanese-Mexican fusion food; and Twist and Smash’d, a Forest Hills sports bar known for its Ecuadorean twisted potatoes and burgers.
Big Mozz, a Smorgasburg vendor that won a 2016 Vendy Award for its fried mozzarella sticks, is making its first appearance in a special “village” section curated by the online restaurant guide The Infatuation.
Flushing’s Dumpling Galaxy, which offers an exhaustive variety of the Chinese dough balls, is one of three newcomers joining the “FEASTival of Queens,” a showcase of the borough’s ethnically diverse dining scene organized by local food writer Joe DiStefano. (Note: This year, the FEASTival will be pay-as-you go, instead of a ticketed tasting experience.)
