Before his Fashion Week show Wednesday morning, Michael Kors set the mood with a tweet: “It’s a summer night, you’re in a convertible, the wind is in your hair, you’re beautiful & in love.”
The romantic spring/summer 2015 collection wowed with a mix of the glamorous and the casual– basic, crisp button-downs tucked into sheer skirts with intricate floral appliques, chic dresses with no-fuss pockets.
Jada Pinkett Smith and Mary J. Blige looked classic in the front row, Smith in nude tones and Blige in black and white, perhaps to let the bright yellows and greens and the deep blues, pinks and purples on the runway have the spotlight.

The final show of day seven was a “gangsta genie” themed spectacular put on by The Blonds, complete with an audience that included Paris Hilton, Carmen Electra, Perez Hilton and drag queens galore (including the famous Lady Bunny).
But even with the eclectic crowd, all eyes were on the models, who, wearing giant blonde braids and wild nails decorated with chains, tassels and roses, strutted in genie-style pants, a jacket that showed a likeness of Jesus, crystal body suits, lace corsets and more to loud hoots from the audience. A grand finale, indeed.

As the crowd got restless on the second to last day of spring 2015 Fashion Week, the designers got wild.
Betsey Johnson put on an unexpected bridal show, with transgender models in funky wedding gowns stripping to their underwear, and The Blonds decided to take their guests on a gangsta carpet ride– think genie pants and chains. Here are the highlights.
