Celebrate and help adoptable dogs in Brooklyn through hot dogs and daiquiris

Join in the celebration for National Hotdog Day and National Daiquiri Day and support animal charities at the same time.

This year, National Hotdog Day is on Wednesday, July 17 and National Daiquiri Day is on Friday, July 19.  What better way to celebrate than with good food while supporting local charities?

Daiqs and Dogs, an event that aims to raise awareness, support national and local animal shelters all while having a fun time. 

Participating venues in New York City include Cpt. Dan’s Good Time Tavern, Lolita, Main Street Landing, The Richardson, Madame George, Parklife and Grand Army Bar. 

Now through Friday July 19, Grand Army Bar, located at 336 State St., will be offering a special Hound Dog daiquiri and a hot dog, with every purchase, proceeds will be donated to the Humane Society. In addition, on Saturday, July 20 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. they will be hosting a block party full with music, drinks, food and the opportunity to adopt a pet. 

In partnership with Every Last One Rescue, which takes in dogs from overcrowded shelters, the bar will hold its annual adoptable dogs meet and greet. Guests will have the opportunity to meet the current foster pups and adopt their favorite furry friend.
