The Jewish Holiday of “Sukkot” is upon us in case you were wondering about that tent you passed by on your way to work this morning.

During the 7-day-holiday of “Sukkot”, Jewish observers build tent like structures called Sukkahs where they dine and sometimes sleep in. Sukkot is also known as the thanksgiving of Judaism and the Sukkahs commemorate the huts that their ancestors lived in while roaming the desert for 40 years after their exodus from Egypt.
