Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield’s New York team has donated $5,000 to Madison Square Boys & Girls Club, continuing over a decade of strategic partnership.
The funds, awarded in recognition of Anthem’s social responsibility efforts, supported the club’s mission of providing vital services to community youth.
Anthem leadership toured Madison’s Pinkerton Clubhouse ahead of the formal check presentation. The facility, which includes a screening room, ballet and recording studios, a gym and more left a lasting impression.
“The full-scale screening room, ballet studio, professional recording studio, science lab, gym, teen space, and just about everything on every floor just blew us away,” said Dr. Mark Levy, President and CEO of Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield. “Madison Square Boys & Girls Club is an incredible resource for the community on so many levels.”
The donation ceremony was accompanied by a fun healthy lifestyle event in the gym, where Anthem volunteers teamed up with youth for a series of fitness challenges, including a hula hoop obstacle course.
The event promoted teamwork and physical well-being, bringing smiles to the faces of the kids.
