From Baywatch to Broadway, Pamela Anderson is set to make her debut as Roxie Hart in “Chicago.”
According to multiple outlets, the Baywatch alum will take on the lead role of Roxie — a wannabe vaudevillian who kills a man she is having an affair with, and becomes famous as result — in an eight-week engagement running from April 12 through June 5 at the Ambassador Theatre.
“I have always been a huge fan of Bob Fosse‘s and Gwen Verdon‘s work. Ann Reinking, too,” Anderson said in a press release. “Playing Roxie Hart is a dream fulfilled.”…….
A couple that is rarely seen together, Jennifer Garner and her boyfriend John Miller, were spotted getting on a flight at New York’s JFK Airport following the premiere of the actress’s new movie, “The Adam Project.”
Garner recently had a very busy week in the Big Apple promoting the film, reports OK! Sources claim that Garner, who shares three children with ex-husband Ben Affleck, has found “the man of her dreams” in the CEO of Cali Burgers. “Jen and John aren’t flashy about their romance,” said a source, “but they are madly in love.”……..
Hillary and Mariska
Hillary Clinton and Mariska Hargitay were spotted leaving the Housing Works Bookstore on Crosby Street on March 4. According to the Daily Mail, Hargitay, who portrays Captain Olivia Benson on “Law & Order: SVU,” has been a long time fan of the former First Lady, and supported her for president in the 2016 election.
Hillary, who was accompanied by longtime aide Huma Abedin, hugged an unidentified woman goodbye before getting in her car.
Abedin, who was previously married to disgraced mayoral hopeful turned new radio co-host Anthony Weiner, was out and about town last week. She also reportedly dined at Gramercy Tavern on March 2 with former Governor Andrew Cuomo‘s top aide Melissa De Rosa……
Superstar comedians are popping up at comedy clubs all over the city. Big Apple Buzz was told exclusively that Brooklyn native Chris Rock did an hour comedy set on March 3 at the Comedy Cellar in Greenwich Village.
A “spy-witness” said that Rock, who will be a presenter at the Academy Awards on March 27, did the impromptu show in preparation for an upcoming tour.
Meanwhile, according to Page Six, Dave Chappelle surprised the audience at the Blue Note the same evening by introducing his longtime friend Talib Kweli before the musician took the stage with his band, The Whiskey Boys…..
Bethenny’s big haul
Big Apple Buzz previously reported that Bethenny Frankel was giving aid to displaced Ukraine citizens. On March 3, the former Real Housewives of New York cast member announced that her organization B Strong has raised over $10 million in aid to help relocate Ukrainian refugees and $15 million in humanitarian aid for those remaining in the war torn country, reports the Daily Mail.
Frankel told her Instagram followers, “I haven’t been giving you updates because I’ve been so swamped and just in the soup,” said Bethenny. She continued, “So we are up to $15 million dollars that will go into Ukrainian in aid and now $9 million dollars donated.” ….
Hilaria’s pause
On March 4, Alec Baldwin‘s wife, Hilaria, posted a message on Social Media telling her followers that she will be going on a “break” from Instagram, perhaps sharing an occasional photo to signal that the mother of six is okay.
According to People, Hilaria did not say how long she planned to be offline.
“Hey friends! I’m gonna take a social break. I promise I’ll be back,” she wrote. “I love you all and know you worry, so want to give you a heads up. I might check in from time to time, dropping you a photo, and letting you know we are ok.”
Hilaria added, “Be good to yourselves and so much love and good energy to you. See you soon. hb.”
A source said, “Hilaria wants to focus on her family without the distraction of social media. Nothing is wrong — she just is going to take a step back for a while and enjoy time with her kids.”………..
