Detectives are looking for two men who woke up a 19-year-old man at his Bronx home, then shot him in the torso during a dispute early Saturday morning.
Law enforcement sources said the trouble began at 5 a.m. on Feb. 1, when the duo showed up at the victim’s home in the area of West 238th Street and Waldo Avenue in Kingsbridge.
Cops said they began knocking and kicking on the door, which the victim answered. He told the pair that they had the wrong house, and that led to a physical struggle between them.
During the dispute, police said, one of the suspects pulled out a firearm and shot the victim in the torso. The assailants then fled the scene on foot, heading westbound along West 238th Street.
The incident was reported to the 50th Precinct. The victim was treated at St. Barnabas Hospital for injuries not considered life-threatening.
Cops released video on Feb. 1 of the two suspects during the altercation.
Police described the shooter as a black male with a dark complexion, a medium build and dreadlocks who wore a green snorkel jacket and a gray hooded sweatshirt. His accomplice was described as a black male with a light complexion and a slim build. He wore a a red hooded sweatshirt, a blue jacket, blue jeans and red sneakers.
