A 15-year-old boy faces murder charges for allegedly stabbing another teenager to death near a Bronx bus stop earlier this month.
Police have withheld the suspect’s name due to his juvenile age. The youngster is accused of fatally stabbing Ethan Borges, 17, of Lafayette Avenue during an attack on Sept. 15 in Foxhurst.
Officers from the 41st Precinct, in responding to a 911 call regarding a male stabbed, found the wounded Borges in front of the GNC store at 1041 Southern Blvd. at about 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 15.
According to law enforcement sources, Borges and the suspect got into a dispute while waiting at a bus stop just before the 15-year-old went on the attack.
Borges had been stabbed in the chest and abdomen. EMS rushed him to Jacobi Hospital, but his condition deteriorated; he died there on Sept. 22.
Sources said detectives tracked down the 15-year-old perpetrator through security camera footage taken in the vicinity of the crime scene.
The 15-year-old suspect was booked Sunday on charges of murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
