Detectives continue to seek a young woman connected to a hate-filled assault of a woman on board a bus in the Bronx last week.
Cops said the attack occurred at 3 p.m. on March 28 on a Bx13 bus traveling in the vicinity of Ogden Avenue and West 166th Street in Highbridge.
Law enforcement sources reported that four females, including three 15-year-olds, hurled a number of anti-Asian statements at the 51-year-old victim. One of the group members then struck her in the head with an umbrella before the group departed the bus.
Officers from the 44th Precinct and EMS units responded to the incident. Paramedics brought the victim to a local hospital, where she received stitches for a head laceration.
Cops picked up the three 15-year-old girls moments later a short distance from the crime scene. They were each charged with assault, menacing and harassment — all of which were classified as hate crimes.
Members of the NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force are now looking for the fourth female involved in the assault, who bashed the woman with the umbrella.
The NYPD released a photo of the suspect on April 4. No physical description was provided.
