Detectives are looking for the suspect behind a recent burglary pattern across three Brooklyn neighborhoods.
The NYPD released on Sunday video footage of the perpetrator sought for stealing in excess of $67,000 in jewelry, electronics and other belongings from homes in Park Slope, Prospect Heights and Gowanus between early December and late January.
Cops obtained the video after the most recent break-in, which occurred at 8:20 a.m. on Jan. 27 in the area of Seventh Avenue and Seventh Street in Park Slope.
According to law enforcement sources, the burglar busted through the front door of the home and grabbed a jewelry box containing $10,000 in valuables.
Police described the other five burglaries in the pattern as follows (except where noted, each of them occurred in Park Slope):
- At 3:30 p.m. on Dec. 3, 2019, the crook forced open the front door of an apartment on Seventh Avenue between Lincoln and Berkeley Places. He then grabbed $52,000 in jewelry, along with a purse and $100 in cash.
- Sixteen days later, at 3 p.m. on Dec. 19, the burglar broke through the door of an apartment on Fifth Avenue near Bergen Street. He went inside and removed $3,000 in electronics and clothing.
- Into the new year, the burglar made his third attempt at 8:45 a.m. on Jan. 8 at a home on Park Place near Carlton Avenue in Prospect Heights. In this instance, he attempted to damage the apartment door lock, but failed to do so. The crook fled without removing any property.
- Two days later, at 12:10 p.m. on Jan. 10, the suspect broke through the door of an apartment on President Street just off Seventh Avenue. He removed a television, jewelry and $300 in cash.
- At 2:05 p.m. on Jan. 21, the suspect busted the front door of an apartment on Smith Street between Douglas and Degraw Streets in Gowanus and walked in. He then removed $2,000 in electronics.
