The gunman behind a Brooklyn deli shooting on Sunday afternoon that left a 28-year-old man critically injured remains at large, police reported.
Law enforcement sources said the bullets flew inside the AH Grocery Store, located at the corner of Pitkin Avenue and Wyona Street in East New York, at about 4 p.m. on March 20.
Security camera footage from inside the shop, which WABC-TV obtained, shows the shooter calmly walking through the front door, pointing a black handgun at the individual off-camera, and opening fire.
Sources familiar with the case said the perpetrator targeted the 28-year-old man after getting into an argument with him moments before the shooting.
One of the fired rounds struck the 28-year-old man in the head. Two terrified deli workers bore witness to the shooting, but were not injured, it was reported.
After the shooting, the suspect fled the scene on foot northbound along Wyona Street, police sources said.
Officers from the 75th Precinct responded to the scene. EMS rushed the victim to Brookdale University Hospital, where he was listed in critical but stable condition.
As shown in the WABC-TV footage, the shooter wore all black clothing, including a hooded sweatshirt with the Jason Voorhies horror movie hockey mask on the front.
No arrests have been made in the ongoing investigation, police said.
