A man was gunned down while sitting in a car in Brooklyn early Sunday morning, cops said.
According to authorities, the victim was sitting in a BMW on Wortman Avenue between Vermont Street and Van Siclen Avenue in East New York at around 1:42 a.m. on Aug. 7 when he was approached by four unknown men who had just exited a four-door sedan.
The man was then shot in the upper torso by one or more of the suspects. He was taken to Brookdale Hospital in stable condition.
Officers from the NYPD’s Housing Bureau took five suspects into custody, and an investigation remains ungoing.
Several shell casings were recovered at the scene.
