Police are investigating a stabbing that left a man dead in Brooklyn early Monday morning.
Authorities say that at 2:30 a.m. on July 18, police responded to a 911 call regarding a man in need of help inside of Prospect Park near Grand Army Plaza. Upon their arrival, officers found a 37-year-old man inside the park, unconscious and unresponsive, with stab wounds to his arms and torso.
Paramedics rushed the victim to New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His identity is being withheld pending family notification.
Following an ongoing investigation, an individual has been taken into custody with charges pending at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
