A person of interest is in custody following a violent stabbing in a Brooklyn apartment building.
According to police, at 12:03 p.m. on March 16 the NYPD responded to a 911 call regarding a man stabbed at 45 Hawthorne Street. Upon their arrival, officers found an unidentified man in his 20s with a stab wound to his neck.
The victim was stabbed initially in a second-floor hallway and made his way downstairs. Paramedics rushed the victim to Kings County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
A person of interest was taken into custody, however no charges have been announced as of yet. The investigation remains ongoing.
