Police in Brooklyn are on the hunt for the shooter who opened fire on two young men and wounded them in a drive-by attack on Saturday night.
Law enforcement sources said the shooting occurred at about 9:20 p.m. on April 17 in front of a store at 1559 Ralph Ave. in Canarsie.
According to authorities, the two victims — an 18-year-old man and a 19-year-old man — sat inside a silver BMW at the location when a white sedan pulled up alongside them.
An unidentified gunman inside the sedan then began firing shots at the pair, striking the 18-year-old in the shoulder and grazing the 19-year-old in the head.
Following the ambush attack, the victims sped away from the scene, but stopped about a half-mile away on Avenue H in Flatlands and called for help.
Officers from the 69th Precinct responded to the incident. Paramedics brought the 18-year-old man to Brookdale University Hospital, and the 19-year-old man to Kings County Hospital. Both are expected to recover from their injuries.
At this point in the ongoing investigation, detectives have not yet established a motive for the shooting, or a description of the shooter. No arrests have been made.
