Detectives in Brooklyn are investigating the suspicious death of a 37-year-old woman on Sunday afternoon.
Officers from the 73rd Precinct found the woman dead on a bed inside an apartment building at 172 Amboy St. in Brownsville at about 4 p.m. on Aug. 8.
Police came to the home after receiving a 911 call about the unconscious woman. Officers discovered her body in a bedroom, with trauma to her neck.
Responding EMS units pronounced her dead at the scene. Police have withheld her identity, pending family notification.
Her body was transferred to the Medical Examiner’s office for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
The investigation remains ongoing, police said.
