A new pop-up market in the East Village opening on Black Friday lets you shop for some unique and vintage gifts this holiday season.
3rd & B’Zaar is the brainchild of Maegan Hayward, Alex Carpenter, Frank New, Delphine Le Goff, Delia Anne Parker and Sara Ann Rutherford. It’s as hip a holiday market as you’d want to see in the East Village — featuring jewelry, vintage clothing, original artwork, home goods (including tiki mugs!), records, skin care products, up-cycled furniture and handmade face masks fashioned from vintage fabrics.
Maegan and Alex, of the East Village Vintage Collective on East 12th Street, shared their vision for the seasonal market.
“We each had our different motivations – affordable rent, a creative outlet, a desire to share our art with people,” they said. “But more than anything we decided to create 3rd & B’Zaar after such a dark year to bring light and hope to the holidays in the East Village, a community we all love and have been a part of for many years.”
About 30 vendors will be on hand in an environment that Delphine le Goff describes as “over the top with holiday cheer, almost as though Christmas threw up!”
They all agree that “you should not miss this very Instagram-able holiday market that says: “more is more and less is a bore ! ”
The 3rd & B’Zaar Holiday Market is located at 191 East 3rd St., between Avenues A and B, and will be open Wednesdays through Sundays from 1 to 6 p.m., starting Black Friday, Nov. 27, and continuing until Christmas Eve, Thursday, Dec. 24.
