Argument outside Manhattan pretzel shop left man severely slashed: cops

Detectives are looking for the assailant who slashed a 20-year-old man outside a Midtown Manhattan Auntie Anne’s store last week and left him seriously wounded.

Cops said the attack happened at 8:45 p.m. on Feb. 26 in front of the pretzel stand at 664 Eighth Ave., adjacent to an entrance to the 42nd Street-Port Authority Bus Terminal subway station.

According to authorities, the 20-year-old man and the assailant got into an verbal dispute. The argument turned physical when the suspect pulled out a cutting instrument and slashed the victim in the left cheek. 

The suspect had fled before officers from the Midtown South Precinct and EMS units arrived on the scene. Paramedics rushed the man to Bellevue Hospital, where he needed 75 stitches to close the slash wound.

On Feb. 29, the NYPD released security photos of the suspect at a subway station turnstile. No physical description was provided.
