Cops in Midtown are looking for the hate-filled man who attacked an Asian woman on Sunday evening.
Police said the attack occurred at about 6:35 p.m. on Aug. 15 in front of a hotel at 230 West 54th St.
According to law enforcement sources, the suspect engaged the 63-year-old victim in a dispute for reasons that were not disclosed.
The words eventually turned violent, cops said, when the suspect punched the woman in the face, then knocked her to the ground. As he did so, he uttered anti-Asian statements.
Following the attack, police said, the attacker hopped on a bicycle and pedaled away southbound along Broadway.
Officers from the Midtown North Precinct responded to the incident. The victim suffered back pain, but refused medical attention at the scene.
Video that the NYPD released on Monday night shows the suspect making his getaway. As shown, he appears to be a heavy-set man with a light complexion and a shaved head, who wore a brown t-shirt with the word Buffalo written on front, along with gray cargo shorts, black socks and gray sneakers.
