Detectives need help in finding two men who robbed a Greenwich Village gift store at gunpoint earlier this week.
Police released on Friday security camera images of the thieves responsible for the Oct. 13 heist, which took place at 6:35 p.m. inside the 8th Street Gift Store at 46 West 8th St.
According to law enforcement sources, the suspects walked into the location and encountered a 33-year-old worker. One of the perpetrators then displayed a black firearm and demanded cash.
Authorities said the employee then handed over a leather bag containing $800 in cash to the suspects, who then fled the scene on foot westbound along West 8th Street.
The heist was later reported to the 6th Precinct.
As shown in the security camera photos, one of the suspects wore a black baseball cap, a black face covering, a purple dress shirt, black slacks and gray shoes. His cohort wore a black knit cap, a blue surgical mask over his mouth, a black jacket over a gray shirt and black pants.
