Police are investigating the death of a man who was found with trauma to his head in Manhattan on Wednesday evening.
At 5:20 p.m. on Jan. 29, the NYPD responded to a 911 call regarding an aided male inside an apartment at 120 East 83rd St. Upon their arrival, officers found a 64-year-old man, unconscious and unresponsive, with a wound to his head. At this time, police say that the wound appears to have been caused by blunt force trauma.
EMS rushed to the location and declared the victim dead at the scene. His identity is being withheld pending family notification. The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
No arrests have been made at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
