Man beaten to death in Midtown Manhattan early Monday morning: NYPD

A man was found beaten to death in Midtown Manhattan during the early hours Monday morning, according to police.

The NYPD received a 911 call shortly before 1 a.m. that a man was injured on East 33rd Street, between 2nd and 3rd Avenues. When officers from the NYPD 17th precinct arrived on the scene, they found the man with significant injuries.

EMS transported the man to NYC Health and Hospitals/ Bellevue where he was later pronounced dead. Police have ruled his death a murder. The identity of the victim has not been released, pending family notification.
