The NYPD has released images of the two remaining suspects wanted in connection to last month’s high-profile assault of two cops that took place outside a Midtown migrant shelter.
The pair are wanted for allegedly participating in the infamous beatdown of an NYPD cop and lieutenant outside of a migrant shelter in Times Square on Jan. 27. The cops were apparently called in to disperse a disorderly group when the crowd turned on them and were caught on video punching and kicking the officers. The assault sparked a wave of controversy from concerns over officer safety to fears of all migrants being branded as criminals.
In the days that followed, police cuffed seven of the suspects believed to be involved in the attack. Twenty-four-year-old Yohenry Brito, 19-year-old Darwin Andres Gomez-Izquiel, 24-year-old Yorman Reveron, 21-year-old Wilson Juarez, 19-year-old Kelvin Servita Arocha, 22-year-old Jhoan Boada, and 19-year-old Carlos Durante were all arrested in connection to the incident.
Police released some details as to the two men still at large.
One of the suspects was last seen wearing a white hat, orange sweatshirt, and black pants, while the other is seen bundled in a red hat, black puff jacket and blue jeans.
