As Brooklyn copes with a series of shootings apparently connected to a gang war, police are also investigating the murder of a 17-year-old outside a Harlem public housing complex on Monday night.

Lamar Gibson, 17, of East 99th Street was shot in the head in front of the Washington Houses at 230 East 102nd St. at about 11:52 p.m. on July 13.

According to law enforcement sources, Gibson was struck during a hail of gunfire by unknown shooters.

Officers from the 23rd Precinct and NYPD PSA 5 responded to a 911 call about the shooting. Paramedics rushed Gibson to Metropolitan Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
