Evening bank robbery on Seventh Avenue

A man is wanted in connection with a bank robbery on Feb. 4 around 6 p.m., police said. The man entered a TD Bank at 469 Seventh Ave. and allegedly showed a demand note to a teller, while making a threatening demand for cash, officials said. The teller complied and the thief fled with $500, and was last seen going south on Seventh Avenue.

 

Groping incident at Penn Station

Police said there was a forcible touching incident inside the 34th Street-Penn Station subway, on Monday, Jan. 13. Around 7:27 a.m., a 16-year-old male was walking through the station at an A train passage way, when a man allegedly grabbed his buttocks, then fled in an unknown direction.

 

Stolen bicycle on West 30 Street

There was a bicycle theft in front of 526 W. 30 St. on Thursday, Jan. 30 around 6 p.m., according to officials. A man told police he left his bicycle locked to a metal post on the sidewalk, and when he returned, the bike and bike lock were gone. The bike had been rented from a bicycle shop and was valued at $750, with the lock valued at $50, officials said.

 

Drunk driving arrest on West Side

A woman was arrested for drunk driving during the early morning hours of Saturday, Feb. 1, according to police. Near West 40 Street and 11th Avenue, a woman, 32, was stopped by police for tinted windows, officials said. An allegedly strong odor of alcohol was found on the woman’s breath, police said, and she allegedly had watery eyes, was slurring speech and was unsteady on her feet. Breath tests were refused and the woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
