From the March 27, 1980 issue of The Villager, members of the New York Knicks participated in a basketball clinic at St. Anthony’s gym on Thompson Street. The March 21, hour-long basketball clinic was organized by the St. Anthony Youth Center and attended by over 100 students. Members of the Knicks at the event included Assistant Coach Butch Beard, a former player, shown in the photo demonstrating a bounce pass to students, along with trainer Mike Saunders and rookie Larry Demic.
