Police are looking for a crook who attacked a man during a robbery attempt in Midtown on Sunday morning.
According to the NYPD, at 10:48 a.m. on March 27 a 73-year-old man was inside a convenience store located at 618 8th Avenue purchasing lottery tickets when an unknown man approached him and tried to grab his wallet out of his hand. The victim resisted and left the store with his wallet.
As the victim crossed the street, the suspect followed and knocked the victim to the ground and kicked him multiple times. He tried to take the victim’s wallet once again, but was unsuccessful and fled the scene on foot into the 42 St – Port Authority Bus Terminal subway station.
The victim suffered pain, swelling and an abrasion to his left eye and was taken by paramedics to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue in stable condition.
