Two men were critically injured after being shot outside a Queens gas station on Sunday night, police reported.
Law enforcement sources said the shooting happened at about 6:15 p.m. on Aug. 29 outside the Exxon gas station at 98-21 Rockaway Blvd. in Ozone Park.
Police sources reported that the two men, ages 54 and 57, were standing outside the location when the unidentified shooter walked up and began firing shots.
The motive for the shooting remains unclear at this time, sources familiar with the investigation reported.
Authorities said the 54-year-old man took three bullets to his arm, chest and back, while the 57-year-old man was shot twice in the back and torso. After opening fire, the unknown shooter fled the scene, cops said.
Officers from the 106th Precinct responded to the incident. EMS rushed both victims to Jamaica Hospital, where they were listed in critical condition.
So far, no arrests have been made in the ongoing investigation, police said.
