Detectives in Queens are investigating the murder of a 14-year-old boy found fatally shot on Tuesday morning.
The youngster — Shawn Frye, 14, of Paterson, NJ — was located in a driveway at a home on Beach 67th Street near Almeda Avenue in Arverne at about 7:22 a.m. on Aug. 2.
Officers from the 100th Precinct responded along with EMS units, who pronounced Frye dead at the scene.
Police sources said the victim appeared to have suffered a gunshot wound to his lower back.
As of Tuesday afternoon, police did not information as to how or when the teenager was shot, or a description of possible suspects.
The investigation remains ongoing, police said.
