The NYPD is looking for a group of people who robbed two people — one of whom violently — in the course of an hour in East Harlem.

The first incident took place at 11:05 a.m. on Dec. 10. At this time, a group of individuals approached a 76-year-old man in front of 164 East 105th St. The suspects proceeded to hit the victim multiple times in the head with a metal wrench before forcibly taking his wallet.

The suspects fled on foot westbound on East 105th Street. Paramedics took the victim to New York-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center in serious but stable condition.

Then, at 12:05 that same day, the group pushed their way into the apartment of a 54-year-old man located in the vicinity of East 106th Street and 2nd Avenue. They pulled out a gun and took the victim’s wallet before fleeing the scene.

The suspects were last seen in a gray sedan heading westbound on East 106th Street. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.

Anyone with information in regard to these incidents is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or on X @NYPDTips. All calls are strictly confidential.
