Three teenage boys were shot and wounded in Times Square Monday night following a dispute—and the gunman remains on the loose, police said.

Cops say that the shooting took place in the vicinity of 7th Avenue and West 42nd Street at around 11:50 p.m., a busy area typically filled with tourists.

When police arrived on the scene, they discovered two teenagers, a 15-year-old and an 18-year-old, both shot in the leg. They were taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.

Police said that a 17-year-old later arrived at Harlem Hospital with a with a gunshot wound to his shoulder. He too is in stable condition.

The incident took place in the Times Square gun free zone that was established last year.

Police said the suspect is a male but did not have any further information. The investigation remains ongoing.

Cops are currently reviewing video tape in an attempt to identify the perpetrator.
