A 71-year-old man has been arrested for murder for allegedly stabbing his wife to death in the Staten Island home they shared, police said.
Ming Chen, of 30 Blythe Place, allegedly killed his 62-year-old wife, Xiao-Qiong Jing, after a domestic dispute erupted at around 10:15 p.m. Their adult son, 41, was also stabbed in the fight.
When police arrived, they discovered Jing with a stab wound to her stomach and their adult son with a wound to his left leg. Chen also had stab wounds to his stomach.
All three were taken to Staten Island University North Hospital, where Jing was pronounced dead. Chen and his son were listed in stable condition.
It isn’t clear what sparked the fight, with the investigation ongoing.
Chen has also been arrested for assault, menacing and criminal possession of a weapon, according to police.
