An affordable housing lottery has opened at a residential building on the Upper East Side.

Located at 1487 1st Ave., the new units at Maison78 were designed with comfort in mind. The units are said to be affordable to households earning between 70 and 130 percent of the area median income.

Of the 45 units, 8 are studios priced at $1,828 per month; 14 are 1-bedrooms ranging from $1,954 to $3,702 a month; and 23 are 2-bedrooms priced at $4,434 a month. Rent includes gas, heat and hot water, and residents are responsible for electricity. Two pets (including large dogs) are allowed per unit, with some breed restrictions in place.

The units feature in-unit dishwashers, cable and satellite TV, high-speed internet, hardwood floors, air conditioning and energy-efficient appliances. Building amenities include access to the dog park and dog washing station, outdoor terrace, lounge, recreation rooms, co-working spaces, a fitness center, an on-site resident manager, security cameras, elevator access, a community center, dance/yoga studio, gym, and a recycling center.

Those with vehicles will have access to electric car charging stations and assigned parking spots. Bike storage is also available to tenants, and the building is walkable to public transportation.
