Detectives in Brooklyn arrested a 28-year-old man on Saturday for allegedly shooting a man to death in the borough earlier this month.

Law enforcement sources said Aaron Granton was charged on July 27 at around 3:10 a.m. within the 60th Precinct for shooting and killing 32-year-old Deon Williams of 834 Park Ave., Brooklyn.

Williams was gunned down at about 6:26 p.m. on July 13 near 68 Marcus Garvey Blvd. within the Sumner Houses, a public housing complex in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

Officers from the 79th Precinct and PSA 3 responded to a 911 call of a person shot at the location. They found Williams unconscious and unresponsive, with a gunshot wound to the torso.

EMS also responded to the scene and rushed Williams to Kings County Hospital in critical condition where he was pronounced dead.

Police said Williams lived near the public housing complex on Park Avenue.
